About this plugin
Sound Particles' Panner Collection II represents a sophisticated approach to spatial audio manipulation, offering three distinct engines that redefine how dynamic movement can enhance stereo and immersive mixes. The collection prioritizes responsive, musicality-driven panning rather than static positioning, making it particularly valuable for producers working across genres and formats.
Energy Panner operates on a straightforward but effective principle: input intensity drives spatial movement. Two operational modes - Pan and Sliding - provide flexibility depending on your needs. Pan mode creates continuous movement proportional to signal amplitude, ideal for drums and percussive elements that benefit from beat-locked spatial animation. Sliding mode locks position once triggered, freezing the panned source until the signal again exceeds your threshold, useful for more deliberate, architectural mixing approaches. Both modes handle everything from stereo mixdown to immersive Dolby Atmos workflows seamlessly.

Brightness Panner takes a frequency-centric approach, analyzing spectral content to generate movement. This addresses a legitimate mixing challenge: brighter sources often benefit from wider stereo placement, creating apparent separation without excessive volume compensation. The frequency analysis feels organic rather than gimmicky, responding to actual timbral characteristics of your sources.
Beat Panner completes the collection by synchronizing pan motion to session tempo, accommodating rhythmic mixing preferences. The preset library across all three tools proves genuinely useful rather than purely decorative, providing legitimate starting points for common scenarios.
For engineers seeking nuanced, responsive spatial processing beyond conventional static panning, Panner Collection II delivers both technical sophistication and practical utility.
