Output's Thermal is a multiband distortion plugin that distinguishes itself through its interactive XY interface and layered processing architecture. Rather than presenting distortion as a simple gain stage, Thermal divides the frequency spectrum into adjustable bands, each capable of independent saturation using one of 19 analog and digital modeling algorithms. This approach allows surgical harmonic enhancement without the phase artifacts or dull compression typical of conventional multiband saturators.
