About this plugin
Oblivion Drums stands as Heavyocity's most aggressive drum instrument to date, delivering a purposefully curated arsenal of processed organic and hybrid percussion sources optimized for cinematic scoring and contemporary production work. The collection comprises over 30,000 samples across 12.63 GB, presented through three complementary interfaces: the Kit Designer maps traditional MIDI drum layouts with six round robins and dynamic layering across four distinct sonic flavors (Hyper, Monster, Electro, and Obscene); the Ensemble Designer positions 360 layered sources within a virtual mixer supporting stereo and depth manipulation; and the Loop Designer enables independent stacking of up to three tempo-synced loops from a pool of 504 editable patterns.
The sonic character emphasizes weight and edge throughout. Kicks carry substantial low-end foundation with pronounced transient definition, snares cut through dense mixes with brittle aggression, and cymbals deliver scorching brightness often processed beyond conventional EQ. The percussion and ensemble sources reflect this uncompromising approach, favoring intensity over subtlety. This makes Oblivion Drums ideally suited for action-oriented film scoring, aggressive electronic production, industrial music, and any context where conventional drum libraries feel insufficiently visceral.

As a Kontakt 7 powered instrument, Oblivion Drums requires either the full Kontakt 7 or the free Kontakt Player, ensuring straightforward integration into existing production environments. Relative to comparable hybrid drum tools, the collection distinguishes itself through consistent sonic aggression and extensive loop editing capabilities rather than sonic versatility. Producers and engineers seeking polished or jazz-oriented sounds should look elsewhere; those demanding brutally focused cinematic percussion will find substantial value here.
