About this plugin
Make It Sing DUETS is a hybrid vocal and synth instrument designed for contemporary pop, hip-hop, and R&B production. Built in collaboration with Curtis "Sauce" Wilson and Rochad Holiday - engineers with credits spanning Ne-Yo, Ariana Grande, and Dr Dre - the plugin combines multi-sampled vocal textures with synthesized elements to deliver cohesive melodic and harmonic material.
The core functionality centers on harmonic layering through two primary mechanisms: Riffs and Runs presets that enable phrase-based melodic construction, and single-key harmony progressions that generate accompaniment from minimal input. A particularly useful workflow feature allows triggering different lyrical content across the keyboard, facilitating topline exploration without relabeling samples manually. This approach streamlines the common production task of auditioning vocal phrases in various harmonic contexts.

Sonically, DUETS occupies familiar territory alongside Native Instruments' GLAZE and HYBRID KEYS, emphasizing polished, radio-ready character through its preset selection - spanning leads, pads, basses, and textural layers. The 151 included presets provide starting points across these categories, supported by integrated effects and intuitive parameter controls for real-time modification.
The plugin's primary audience comprises producers working within current commercial contexts who prioritize quick results and reliable sonic polish over deep sound design. While the architecture allows customization, DUETS functions most effectively as a performance and arrangement tool rather than a synthesis deep-dive platform. For engineers accustomed to hardware-grade production assistance, the preset-forward design and hands-on effects deliver practical utility, though experienced sound designers may find the creative scope somewhat bounded.
