About this plugin
Super-7 is UVI's synthesis workstation built around meticulous modeling of the MKS-7, a legendary 8-voice rackmount synthesizer that unified the analog circuitry of the Juno-106 with PCM drum samples from the 707. The plugin reconstructs this hybrid architecture with fidelity that extends beyond simple emulation. UVI multi-sampled custom patches across the hardware in three distinct states - dry, with chorus engaged, and with noise modulation active - capturing the tonal nuances that defined '80s production across new wave, synthwave, and synthpop.
The instrument operates across six discrete layers with eight independent tracks for drums, bass, melody, and three general-purpose synth layers. Each synth layer includes dedicated amp and filter envelopes, multimode filtering, drive and modulation effects, and a sophisticated arpeggiator with phrase sequencing capabilities. This architecture proves equally effective for constructing individual synth lines or building complete arrangements within a single instance.

The drum component merges period-accurate samples from the 606, 626, 707, 808, and 909 alongside contemporary percussion created in UVI's Drum Designer, providing practical flexibility for hybrid productions that blend vintage textures with modern requirements.
Super-7 serves producers and engineers seeking authentic analog character without workflow compromise. The sound maintains the characteristic warmth and dynamic response of hardware synthesis while offering the editing depth and automation capabilities modern DAWs demand. For those producing in synthetically-rooted genres or requiring convincing analog texture layering, the plugin delivers both sonic authenticity and creative control that justifies its position among premium synthesis tools.
