About this plugin
MSpectralDynamics represents a genuine departure from conventional multiband compression. Rather than dividing the frequency spectrum into fixed bands, the plugin applies dynamic processing across the entire spectrum simultaneously, analyzing energy distribution at each frequency point and responding with precision that traditional multiband tools cannot match. This frequency-domain approach yields results that sound notably more transparent and natural than what you'd typically achieve with even high-end multiband compressors, which tend to exhibit artifacts and unnatural pumping when pushed.
The core engine includes two independent compressor-expander units with ratio ranges from 1:4 through infinity, paired with an advanced gate featuring adjustable size and knee parameters. The spectral detector offers granular control via resolution, smoothness, slope, and threshold shape settings, allowing you to fine-tune exactly how the algorithm perceives and responds to incoming material. A complementary linear-phase equalizer extends from -80dB to 0dB, shaped via MeldaProduction's Envelope System for surgical correction or creative spectral sculpting.

The integrated spectrum analyzer displays input, output, and gain reduction profiles in real-time, providing essential visual feedback that aids decision-making during critical listening.
MSpectralDynamics functions best in mastering contexts where transparency matters most - loudness maximization, spectral balance correction, and dynamic control without coloration. It appeals to mastering engineers and advanced mixing producers comfortable working with complex tools. While the learning curve is steeper than conventional compressors, the sonic payoff justifies the investment for serious practitioners seeking state-of-the-art spectral dynamics processing.
