About this plugin
FilterBank HD v7 stands as McDSP's comprehensive equalization toolkit, offering three distinct processor models designed to address the full spectrum of mixing and mastering demands. The E6060 provides console-style parametric control with shelving capabilities, the F202 delivers surgical high and low-pass filtering with adjustable slopes exceeding 24dB per octave, and the P606 rounds out the collection with variable Q parametric modes suited to detailed spectral work.
The plugin's technical foundation emphasizes precision and transparency. Zero-latency processing and double-precision arithmetic ensure minimal phase artifacts and maximum headroom, critical considerations for mix bus applications. Each EQ band incorporates analog saturation modeling that simulates the harmonic character of hardware units while protecting against digital clipping - a practical solution that acknowledges the perceptual benefits of subtle harmonic coloration without introducing unwanted distortion.

McDSP has optimized FilterBank HD v7 for both Apple Silicon and current Intel architectures, delivering efficient CPU performance crucial for dense mixing sessions. The parametric section spans 20Hz to 21kHz with Q adjustable from 0.2 to 12.0, covering everything from broad tonal shaping to surgical problem-frequency removal. The variable-width parametric bell, reaching up to five octaves, enables unconventional sculpting approaches.
This plugin serves professional mixing and mastering engineers who demand both surgical control and sonic versatility without compromise. Its strength lies in unified interface design across three complementary processor types, allowing workflow efficiency in multi-instance scenarios. Among comparable tools, FilterBank HD competes on technical specification while maintaining accessibility through coherent design philosophy rather than intimidating parameter density.
