About this plugin
Mark Fletcher's Fill You In stands as a focused utility for dynamic bass and kick interaction, designed to address a specific mixing challenge: maintaining clarity between low-end sources without sacrificing impact. The plugin employs sidechain-style detection to intelligently manage frequency masking, allowing complementary elements to coexist in the sub and low-mid regions.
The sonic character leans toward surgical precision rather than coloration. Fletcher's approach prioritizes transparency, making Fill You In particularly valuable in contemporary electronic music production, hip-hop, and bass-heavy genres where kick and bass definition directly impacts the mix's commercial viability. The algorithm respects transients while managing sustained frequencies, preventing the typical pumping artifacts that plague conventional compression-based solutions.

This tool occupies a niche within the crowded sidechain and dynamic processing landscape, distinguishing itself through straightforward operation and focused scope. Rather than attempting to be a comprehensive dynamics processor, Fill You In specializes in its core function. It's best suited for producers who understand their low-end problems precisely and seek a dedicated solution rather than menu-diving through multi-purpose plugins. Among Frontline Producer's offerings, it represents their engineering-first philosophy.
