About this plugin
thEQorange represents a rare achievement in mastering equalizer design - genuine linear phase processing without the phase distortion or latency artifacts that typically compromise frequency-domain LP implementations. MAAT's time-domain, 80-bit dual-pass architecture delivers the pristine fidelity required for critical mastering work, with distortion figures substantially lower than competing linear phase solutions.
The technical approach prioritizes transparency. Sophisticated signal windowing and calculation precision create an EQ that corrects without imprinting sonic character, making it equally effective for surgical problem-solving or subtle spectral refinement. The four monitoring modes - including the distinctive Contribution Control feature that isolates positive, negative, or EQ-only content - provide granular feedback about your processing decisions in real time.

The interface wisely avoids over-specification. Rather than drowning users in parameters, thEQorange offers intelligent ergonomics: stereo/mid-side assignment flexibility, auto-gain compensation on the monitoring path, and resizable windows that adapt to workflow preferences. These refinements acknowledge that mastering EQ work demands sustained focus.
thEQorange has earned genuine respect among working mastering engineers as one of the most sonically neutral LP equalizers available. It's purpose-built for mastering chains, critical mixing decisions, or any situation where transparent, phase-coherent correction is non-negotiable. This isn't the EQ for coloration or character - it's the tool when accuracy and purity matter most. For discerning engineers prioritizing sonic integrity above all else, thEQorange delivers without compromise.
