About this plugin
Rumble is a bass and percussion-focused expansion for the Lunacy CUBE platform that addresses a specific production need: delivering low-end weight and percussive impact with clarity across modern mixing chains. The expansion centers on 40 carefully curated sound sources, including multi-sampled cinematic percussion articulations recorded by percussionist Hal Rosenfeld and a collection of analog-modeled bass synthesizers exploring monosynth territory from classic to contemporary design approaches.
The sonic character leans toward density without muddiness. The percussion samples maintain definition even at significant volume levels, making them suitable for both rhythmic anchor points and transient-dependent sound design. The bass sources range from traditional subtractive synthesis to experimental tonal exploration, giving producers options for both functional low-end support and textural elements that can drive arrangement choices.

The 120 presets provide a substantial starting point, notably including contributions from established sound designers Venus Theory and DataBroth. Rather than generic templates, these presets demonstrate practical applications across electronic and pop production contexts, though they require familiarity with parameter editing to fully adapt to individual mixes.
Rumble fits most naturally into production workflows emphasizing electronic, trap, and contemporary pop work where precise bass control and articulate percussion synthesis matter. It's less essential for acoustic or jazz-oriented sessions. As a CUBE expansion, integration depends on existing familiarity with that platform's architecture and signal flow. For producers already invested in the Lunacy ecosystem, Rumble represents a focused, competently executed addition rather than a category-defining tool.
