Street Percussion is a step sequencer library that bundles over 100 sampled percussion instruments with an eight-channel sequencer and integrated effects processing. Big Fish Audio captured the sounds with input from street performers Steven Bartashev and Cyzon Griffin, recording seven velocity layers and round robins across metal, plastic, wood, ethnic drums, and two custom kits. This multi-layered approach yields authentic tonal variation that resists the sterile quality common to percussion libraries.

The sequencer architecture allows independent control over rate and step count per channel, with per-step automation for velocity, length, pan, pitch, reverse, reverb, and delay. This granular parameter control enables the construction of intricate polyrhythmic patterns without extensive manual editing. Each channel includes separate close and room microphone faders, granting tonal flexibility equivalent to mixing a live percussion session. Seven hand-selected Kontakt effects can be routed to individual channels or globally, covering standard processing needs without overwhelming the workflow.
