Loot Audio's Esper Synth stands as a meticulously sampled instrument library derived directly from a hardware CS-80 synthesizer, the instrument Vangelis employed to create the definitive synth palette of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner. Rather than attempting digital emulation or repurposing soundtrack recordings, the developers painstakingly recreated the original patches on actual hardware, then sampled the results across the keyboard range. This methodological commitment yields an authenticity difficult to achieve through purely synthetic means.

The library comprises twelve instruments organized around a coherent sonic identity. Five iterations of the signature brassy lead - the most distinctive and immediately recognizable element of the Blade Runner score - form the collection's core. These leads demonstrate remarkable playability without extensive parameter tweaking. Four pad patches provide harmonic foundation, supplemented by two bell instruments and an expansive percussion section featuring heavily processed, reverb-drenched textures inspired by the film's main title sequence.
