About this plugin
Transfer is a spatial audio plugin that handles ambisonics encoding and decoding internally, positioning sound sources in three-dimensional space with minimal CPU overhead. Unlike conventional spatialization tools that require extensive parameter management, Transfer presents a genuinely streamlined interface: feed it audio and receive spatially positioned output, with positioning control via either a full spherical manipulator or a simplified X/Y pad.
The plugin's binaural processing applies HRTF-based filtering that models how the human ear perceives directional sound, delivering convincing stereo or headphone renderings without computationally expensive convolution methods. This approach makes Transfer practical for mixing scenarios where traditional spatialization plugins would strain system resources.

Transfer's doppler simulation stands apart from competitors by implementing mathematically accurate pitch and timbre shifts that correspond to real-world motion, rather than approximate algorithmic treatments. The spread parameter reduces localization cues for subtler effects, while separation mode allows stereo channels to occupy distinct spatial positions while maintaining relative distance perception. The room simulation engine, added in version 1.2.0, models early and late reflections with adjustable dimensions and material characteristics, with optional size sync linking reflections to the source distance parameter.
Transfer suits mixing engineers seeking spatial depth without complex workflows, game audio designers, immersive content creators, and producers working in Dolby Atmos pipelines. It occupies a pragmatic middle ground between simplified stereo wideners and dense, parameter-heavy spatial processors. The plugin's restraint in both CPU usage and interface complexity makes it accessible while maintaining professional-grade spatial accuracy and sonic quality.
