About this plugin
StageOne 2 represents a significant evolution in stereo manipulation, offering StageOne owners a meaningful upgrade with expanded sonic control. The plugin's three-band architecture allows independent processing across the frequency spectrum, enabling nuanced stereo interventions that preserve tonal balance while reshaping spatial characteristics.
The core algorithmic toolkit addresses genuine mixing challenges. WIDTH stretches the stereo field by repositioning off-center content without collapsing the phantom center, useful for widening guitars, keyboards, or orchestral sources. DEPTH adds directionally optimized reflections that create impression of space without artificial reverb. MONO SPREAD converts mono signals into pseudo-stereo through intelligent filtering, effectively giving single-channel sources dimension and character. The PHASE RECOVERY algorithm identifies and realigns phase-incoherent components, preventing the image collapse that occurs when stereo mixes sum to mono - a critical feature for broadcast and streaming mastering.

CENTER GRAVITY provides precise stereo image tilting, allowing corrective adjustments when mix balance skews left or right without resorting to simple level changes.
This plugin suits mixing engineers, mastering specialists, and producers working across genres where spatial precision matters. The technical approach prioritizes transparency and phase integrity over gimmicky widening, making it appropriate for both corrective and creative applications. Among comparable tools, StageOne 2 distinguishes itself through its algorithmic sophistication and the practical inclusion of phase recovery - a utility often overlooked but essential in professional workflows.
The upgrade justifies consideration for existing StageOne users seeking expanded frequency-dependent control and the phase recovery functionality.
