About this plugin
Kuassa's EVE-MP5 merges two of the most influential equalizers in recording history into a single, practical plugin. By combining the Pultec MEQ-5 and EQP-1A topologies, the EVE-MP5 delivers the sonic signature that defined decades of professional recording across multiple genres.
The plugin's strength lies in its authentic frequency response curves. The low-end section excels at the simultaneous boost and cut technique that Pultec hardware is famous for, allowing engineers to add fullness while tightening mud around 100Hz. The midrange controls provide smooth, musical sculpting without the harshness of clinical EQ adjustments. High-frequency shaping remains characteristically polished rather than bright, making the EVE-MP5 equally at home on individual tracks or mastering buses.

The integrated saturation stage sets this plugin apart from straight EQ emulations. With intelligent gain compensation, you can drive the input for harmonic coloration without constant level adjustment. This feature proves valuable for adding thickness to thin sources or creating cohesion across disparate elements in a mix.
The interface reflects practical design - color-coded controls and straightforward layout facilitate fast workflow decisions. Support for VST, VST3, AU, and AAA ensures compatibility across modern DAWs.
The EVE-MP5 appeals to engineers seeking proven, translatable EQ character rather than surgical precision. It performs exceptionally on bass, vocals, and full mixes where musicality outweighs clinical correction. For anyone familiar with classic Pultec workflows, this plugin captures the essential character in a form that integrates seamlessly into contemporary production.
