About this plugin
Kuassa's EVE-AT Bundle delivers two distinct parametric equalizers modeled after the Neve 1081 and 1084, the mastering-grade EQ sections that defined professional mixing for decades. The EVE-AT1 offers four parametric bands plus high-pass and low-pass filters, with extended Q options in the low-mid and high-mid ranges that provide surgical precision across broad mixing applications. The EVE-AT4 strips away a band and narrows its frequency palette, instead privileging the distinctive filter topology of its 1084 predecessor - a more colored, characterful approach that accounts for the unit's presence on countless 1970s recordings.
Both equalizers share the sonic DNA that made their hardware counterparts essential: musical gain staging, smooth harmonic shaping, and a clarity that survives aggressive boosts without harshness. The EVE-AT1 functions as a versatile workhorse suitable for individual tracks or mix bus duties, while the EVE-AT4 excels at imparting vintage character and tonal weight to sources that benefit from its particular frequency response curve.

For mixing engineers accustomed to hardware - or those seeking authentic British console flavor in the box - this bundle covers both the transparent utility and the colored character poles. The AT1 handles everyday EQ tasks with professional restraint, while the AT4 lends itself to situation-specific tonal shaping where its idiosyncratic response becomes an asset rather than a limitation. Together, they represent a thoughtful interpretation of two historically significant designs, offering contemporary practitioners access to the sonic signatures that shaped generations of recordings.
