EFEKTOR Harmonitron

The KUASSA Efektor Harmonitron is a polyphonic pitch shifting and harmonizing plugin built around four independent pitch-shifting engines, each capable of transposing across a - 24 to + 24 semitone range (two octaves in either direction). This architecture enables real-time generation of multi-voice harmonies with individual level and pan control over each shifted voice relative to the dry signal. The implementation includes per-voice detune capabilities and a swell (slow attack) envelope that smooths pitch transitions, useful for simulating organ-like characteristics or softening abrupt harmonic shifts.

The plugin's sonic toolkit extends beyond basic transposition. A global detune function provides up to 50 cents of pitch variation for widening effects, while a low-pass filter on each voice allows tonal shaping of the harmonies.
