About this plugin
Grand Finale is a mastering-grade multi-effect processor designed to streamline the finalization stage of mixing. Built by Klevgrand, the plugin consolidates the core tools needed for professional loudness management and tonal shaping into a single, pre-routed signal chain, eliminating the need to stack multiple instances across a stereo bus or master channel.
The signal flow progresses logically from input trimming through serial compression, multiband compression, stereo width enhancement, and parametric EQ before reaching the master section. A parallel path with selectable distortion and compression algorithms allows for upward spectral coloration without sacrificing headroom or introducing unwanted artifacts. The architecture reflects genuine mastering practice rather than attempting novelty for its own sake.

Version 2 introduces a modernized interface and improved algorithm implementations that narrow the gap between plugin processing and high-end hardware. The inclusion of both LUFS and RMS metering addresses contemporary loudness standards without requiring external tools, while the fine-tuned limiter provides transparent ceiling control.
Grand Finale occupies a practical middle ground in the mastering plugin ecosystem. It lacks the surgical precision of dedicated linear phase EQs or the analog modeling depth of premium compressor emulations, but compensates with cohesive signal integration and workflow efficiency. The preset library demonstrates competent starting points across genres and sources.
This plugin suits mixing engineers seeking professional mastering capability without navigating separate plugin licensing or CPU overhead. While experienced mastering engineers may prefer specialized tools for critical work, Grand Finale provides sufficient sonic control and transparency for confident delivery across commercial platforms.
