About this plugin
Cloudmax Breeze represents a meaningful evolution for users invested in Cloudmax's vocal processing ecosystem. The crossgrade path acknowledges that existing Cloudmax 1 and 2 owners have established workflows and sonic preferences worth preserving while introducing substantive improvements.
The core proposition centers on Karanyi Neural's Vocal Intelligence engine, which analyzes incoming vocals across mood, style, and tempo to establish optimal settings across 40+ parameters. Rather than presenting this as fully automatic, Breeze positions the AI as a starting point - the Capture function generates intelligent presets that experienced engineers can then refine. The central control knob provides real-time manipulation of four integrated processors: Space and Span (reverb character and spatial depth), Crisp (high-frequency enhancement and air), Heat (saturation from subtle tube warmth to analog drive), and Makeup (dynamics control). This unified interface contrasts with traditional chains requiring multiple plugins.

Sonically, Breeze pursues what Karanyi describes as "neural intelligence with vintage warmth" - the saturation and reverb stages employ modeling that avoids the clinical character of earlier neural tools. For mixing engineers, the consistency across multiple vocals and the speed of initial setup address genuine workflow friction. Singer-songwriters will find the preservation of performance character valuable; the enhancement tends toward subtlety rather than radical transformation.
The crossgrade cost acknowledges previous investment while addressing legitimate questions about whether Breeze's AI-driven approach justifies replacement of established plugins. For Cloudmax users, the decision hinges on whether the unified interface and neural-driven parameter linking deliver practical efficiency gains worth the transition.
