About this plugin
IK Multimedia's AmpliTube Orange delivers meticulously modeled recreations of eight classic and contemporary amplifier designs from the legendary British manufacturer. The plugin captures the sonic signature that has defined Orange's aesthetic for over fifty years: characterful, harmonically rich overdrive and distortion with a distinctive midrange presence that cuts through dense mixes.
The collection spans Orange's product range from compact practice amps to high-wattage touring rigs. Models include the AD series, known for natural breakup and touch sensitivity; the compact Tiny Terror; the Dual Terror's aggressive voice; the OR50's muscular crunch; and the RockerVerb and Thunderverb's full-featured platforms. Nine speaker cabinet options allow tonal shaping across configurations from single 12-inch units to the classic 8x10 enclosure.

IK's modeling approach captures the nonlinear behavior that distinguishes Orange amplifiers from their competitors. The plugin responds authentically to input dynamics and gain staging, making it suitable for both clean recording and aggressive rock production. The interface maintains Orange's distinctive visual identity while providing intuitive control over gain structure and cabinet selection.
This plugin suits recording engineers, producers, and guitarists working across rock, metal, and alternative genres who need authentic Orange character without hardware investment. While competing amp modeling platforms offer broader manufacturer representation, AmpliTube Orange specializes in depth within a focused tonal palette. Those specifically seeking Orange's midrange-forward, harmonically complex voice will find this collection genuinely useful. The implementation justifies its cost through accuracy and workflow integration with existing IK Multimedia ecosystems.
