About this plugin
Heavyocity's Mosaic Pads delivers a thoughtfully curated collection of atmospheric textures built on a three-channel layering engine that prioritizes sonic depth over simplicity. The instrument draws from 1,699 samples organized across 80 distinct sources - ethereal pads, gritty industrial elements, decaying resonances, sweeps, and noise layers - providing enough tonal variety to serve as either a primary sound source or a textural complement within a mix.
The core appeal lies in the Mosaic Engine itself. Rather than offering traditional synthesis controls, the design emphasizes intentional combination: each of the three channels can be independently adjusted and routed, enabling composers to build complex, evolving soundscapes through deliberate layering rather than parameter tweaking. The included ARP function adds rhythmic dimensionality for those seeking movement beyond static pads, while the MACRO knob handles multi-parameter control efficiently.

With 101 custom presets included, Mosaic Pads functions effectively as an immediate creative catalyst. The samples themselves lean cinematic - designed for score composition, ambient production, and atmospheric scoring work. The library avoids both the clichéd pad textures that plague many orchestral libraries and the overly experimental territory that limits practical application.
This instrument best serves film composers, game audio designers, and electronic producers who value preset quality alongside customization depth. It occupies a measured middle ground between preset-dependent sample libraries and fully modular synthesis environments. For practitioners already invested in Kontakt or the broader Komplete ecosystem, Mosaic Pads integrates seamlessly with NKS support and multi-format compatibility, making it a logical addition to scoring-focused templates rather than a standalone solution.
