About this plugin
Glacier is a serial delay and reverb processor that approaches space design through a combination of temporal and tonal manipulation. The core engine pairs a tempo-syncable stereo/ping-pong delay with a dense Hall or Shimmer reverb, both of which can be routed in either order to fundamentally alter how repeats interact with decay. This flexibility addresses a real limitation in most space plugins, which lock users into a single signal flow.
The plugin's distinctive character emerges from four global processors that shape both effects simultaneously. Freeze captures the current delay and reverb state indefinitely while dry signal continues to pass through, useful for building ambient textures without losing the source. Chill applies high-frequency emphasis to the wet path without extending decay time, brightening repeats and tails toward crystalline quality. Dispersion widens and smears repeats while sweeping reverb from narrow to diffuse, adding movement and spatial interest. Duck dynamically reduces wet signal during input and releases it in gaps, restoring clarity during performance while preserving sustained tails.

The delay offers extensive control - ranging from 0 to 2000ms with note-value sync, feedback up to 100 percent, and a fixed pitch shifter on the delay output that maintains timing. The reverb delivers configurable predelay and decay from 20ms to 10 seconds, with Shimmer mode regenerating an octave up.
Glacier suits producers and engineers seeking sophisticated ambient textures without latency compromise - the dry signal experiences zero latency. Its strength lies in creating evolving pads and washes from minimal source material, particularly useful in IDM, ambient, and contemporary composition where space itself becomes compositional content rather than mere decoration.
