About this plugin
MAP represents GForce Software's most ambitious synthesizer plugin to date, drawing direct lineage from West Coast modular pioneers while maintaining the tactile immediacy that modern production demands. The instrument centers on three independent oscillators, each capable of complex frequency and waveshape modulation, feeding into a dual-filter architecture comprising a five-band resonant EQ and multimode filter that operate in series or parallel configurations. This serial routing flexibility proves particularly valuable for aggressive spectral sculpting, while the parallel option preserves harmonic complexity during aggressive filtering.
The oscillator design rewards deep patching. Extensive FM and AM capabilities, combined with a dedicated modulation oscillator, enable everything from subtle tonal coloration to extreme digital instability. The nine-type noise generator adds textural grit without sacrificing clarity, and the five-band EQ provides surgical control unavailable in single-filter designs. Real-time morphing via XY Pad macros transforms static presets into evolving soundscapes.

Modulation architecture proves sophisticated without overwhelming. Three looping envelopes, three drawable LFOs, and a random LFO powered by the noise generator create organic movement. MPE support and polyphonic generative sequencing extend creative possibilities for contemporary workflows.
MAP suits sound designers and experimental producers seeking West Coast aesthetics within a plugin format. Its modular philosophy appeals to synthesizer enthusiasts, while preset architecture accommodates producers prioritizing workflow efficiency. The dual-filter approach and comprehensive modulation matrix position it alongside Serum and Wavetable, though MAP's tonal character leans distinctly toward analog warmth and chaotic experimentation rather than pristine digital clarity.
