FLIP is a real-time audio manipulation plugin that combines nine processors into a fixed signal chain designed specifically for transforming vocal loops, melodic phrases and instrumental elements in trap, drill and modern hip-hop production. The plugin's core strength lies in its Engine section, which offers seven distinct playback modes - Forward, Reverse, Repeat, Stutter, Skip, Hold and Freeze - allowing producers to grab time windows from 20ms to 2 seconds and reshape them through independent pitch and speed controls. This separation is crucial; you can transpose material 24 semitones without affecting playback rate, and vice versa, giving precise control over both tonal and rhythmic character.

The downstream processors - Tone, Saturate, Destroy, Space, Echo and Limit - operate as an integrated chain rather than modular routing system. This design philosophy means the saturation, distortion and spatial effects are voiced to work cohesively when pushed simultaneously, avoiding the brittle or thin results common when stacking independent processors. The Tone section's three-band EQ sits at the chain's front, functionally deciding the tonal character before any destructive processing occurs. The Saturate stage offers tape modeling characteristics, while Destroy provides five distinct algorithms for aggressive coloration.
