About this plugin
Eventide's Quadravox is a harmonic delay plugin that generates up to four pitched voices from incoming audio, functioning as both a creative compositional tool and spatial processor. The core engine tracks incoming pitch and applies user-defined intervals across four independent delay lines, each with adjustable level, pan, and feedback parameters. What distinguishes Quadravox is its notation-based workflow: a musical staff grid lets you place and sequence pitch intervals over time, making harmonic layering feel more intuitive than typical parameter automation.
The plugin excels on monophonic sources - vocals, lead synths, and single-note instruments benefit most from its pitch-tracking capabilities. On polyphonic material, disabling pitch-tracking converts it into a sophisticated rhythmic delay with harmonic coloration, expanding its utility considerably. The Randomize function applies subtle micro-pitch variations across voices, simulating the natural imperfections of real vocal or instrumental ensembles.

Technical implementation includes DAW tempo sync for rhythmic precision, MixLock to preserve wet/dry balance across preset changes, and KeyLock to maintain harmonic integrity. The notation interface goes beyond marketing differentiation - it genuinely accelerates workflow for users comfortable with music theory notation, though parameter-based control remains available throughout.
With over 60 presets and optimization for stacked instances, Quadravox positions itself as both a songwriting accelerator and layering tool. It occupies distinct territory from standard pitch shifters and harmonizers by prioritizing sequenced, time-based harmonic generation rather than real-time pitch correction or simple doubling effects. For producers seeking melodic depth without relying on additional instrumental tracks, Quadravox delivers genuine utility.
