About this plugin
The H3000 Factory Mk II represents a meaningful evolution of Eventide's legendary hardware harmonizer, now refined for the plugin era. This crossgrade delivers substantive improvements over the original Factory Mk I, particularly in its analog modeling and filter architecture. The new ADC/DAC converter modeling introduces a subtle but perceptible character that better approximates the original hardware's sonic signature, while entirely reconstructed filters now accurately exhibit the resonance and self-oscillation behavior that defined the H3000's distinctive sound.
The plugin's modular architecture remains central to its appeal, allowing users to chain up to 18 effect blocks across pitch shifting, delays, filtering, modulation, and envelope-following stages. This flexibility serves both surgical mixing applications and experimental sound design equally well. The expanded preset library of 500+ programs includes historically accurate recreations alongside contemporary artist presets, providing immediate access to both classic and modern tones.

For seasoned producers and mix engineers, the H3000 Factory Mk II occupies a unique position. It's neither a straightforward mixing tool nor primarily a sound design instrument, but rather a sonic laboratory that rewards exploratory workflows. The resizable interface and streamlined patching make the plugin genuinely usable in professional sessions, while the 19-function generator waveforms and MIDI control preserve the deep customization that veteran H3000 users expect.
The crossgrade path from Mk I acknowledges the refinements without penalizing existing owners, making the upgrade a practical consideration for those seeking measurably improved modeling and expanded sonic palette.
