About this plugin
Cherry Audio's Miniverse represents a meticulous software recreation of the most influential monosynth of the analog era, engineered in collaboration with DSP specialist Mark Barton. Rather than pursuing feature expansion, the developers committed to capturing the exact sonic characteristics and operational feel of the original hardware through rigorous measurement and analysis of its oscillators, filters, and envelope generators.
The plugin's architecture prioritizes authenticity in its voltage-controlled components. The filter modeling demonstrates particular attention to the original's resonant character and cutoff tracking behavior, while the oscillator waveforms exhibit the harmonic density typical of classic analog circuitry. These design choices result in a synth capable of producing the thick, aggressive basses and penetrating leads that defined electronic music from the 1970s onward.

Practical enhancements include polyphonic operation up to sixteen voices, a significant departure from the original's monophonic limitations. This addition expands the instrument's applicability to pad synthesis and chordal work without compromising its core character. The preset library of over 250 sounds, curated by experienced sound designers, provides immediate utility across brass, bass, key, and percussion categories.
Miniverse appeals to producers and engineers seeking authentic vintage synthesis within a modern DAW environment. The straightforward interface mirrors the original hardware, minimizing the learning curve for users familiar with classic analog design while remaining accessible to those approaching the architecture for the first time. For studios prioritizing sonic fidelity over feature-creeping digital synthesis, Miniverse delivers reliable, characterful results.
