About this plugin
TimeShaper 3 is Cableguys' time-domain manipulation plugin, designed to warp playback speed and position with sample-accurate precision. Rather than applying static time effects, it employs a virtual playhead system that you control via custom LFO curves, allowing real-time manipulation of audio without the artifacts associated with traditional time-stretching algorithms.
The plugin's core strength lies in its curve-drawing interface, which translates visual waveforms directly into playhead movement. This yields everything from rhythmic stutters and DJ-style scratches to tape-stop effects, half-time transformations, and reverse passages. All timing locks to your session tempo or responds to MIDI and audio triggers, making the workflow equally suited to grid-based production and live, reactive performance contexts.

The multiband implementation separates processing into three frequency ranges, letting you apply different time manipulations to lows, mids, and highs simultaneously. A bassist might reverse only the low end while applying glitch effects to the high-frequency content, creating textural complexity that would be tedious to achieve with multiple instances of conventional plugins.
TimeShaper sits within the ShaperBox 3 ecosystem, where it stacks with complementary tools for layered effect design. The visual feedback clearly displays playhead position, making parameter adjustments transparent and intuitive.
This plugin serves sound designers, electronic producers, and remix engineers seeking granular control over temporal effects without sacrificing workflow speed. It occupies a distinct niche between linear time-stretching tools and granular processors, offering the rhythmic precision of the former with the creative potential of the latter.
