Audio Blast's BreadSlicer Pro is a real-time slice-based glitch effect designed to transform incoming audio into rhythmically synchronized stutters, breaks, and granular rearrangements. The plugin captures audio input, segments it according to a user-defined slice size, and randomly reorders playback while applying modulation across five effect parameters. This approach yields the characteristic stuttering textures associated with contemporary glitch production, though with less predictability than grid-based stuttering tools.

The core engine provides genuine host tempo synchronization, ensuring sliced segments lock to session timing regardless of material BPM. The Slice Amount fader governs the probability that effects will trigger on individual slices, functioning as a density control rather than a traditional wet/dry parameter. The Gate knob sets slice amplitude envelope globally, a critical control for managing the percussive character of output. Five randomizable parameters - Reverse, FX, PAN, Pitch, and Roll - each increase in effect likelihood as their respective faders are raised, allowing producers to dial in desired chaos levels without surrendering creative direction entirely.
