About this plugin
The +10db Bundle V2 represents a significant refinement of Boz Digital Labs' channel strip plugin, which derives its character from David Bendeth's personal hardware compressor unit. This is the tool that shaped the drum sounds on countless modern rock and metal records, from Breaking Benjamin to Paramore, making it one of the most sonically recognizable processors in contemporary mixing.
The V2 upgrade centers on the redesigned equalizer section, which employs a parallel configuration rather than the series topology found in most digital EQs. This architectural choice fundamentally alters how the filters interact, particularly when bands are positioned closely together. The result is a more forgiving, less fatiguing character that tolerates aggressive boost and cut settings without the harshness typical of conventional designs. Boz Digital Labs preserved the analog filter characteristics by avoiding digital pre-warping, maintaining symmetric frequency response through the Nyquist limit.

The compressor core remains the critical differentiator here. Its punch and musicality have made it indispensable for drum processing, where it delivers the kind of controlled aggression that defines Bendeth's mixing aesthetic. The combination creates a complete mixing tool rather than a one-trick processor.
This bundle appeals to engineers and producers working across rock, metal, and heavy alternative genres where impact and clarity are paramount. It's equally valuable for anyone seeking a compressor with genuine character beyond transparent dynamic control. The V2 upgrade justifies its cost for V1 owners primarily through the EQ refinement, which makes the overall chain more versatile and less prone to the compromises inherent in parallel processing implementations.
