BLEASS Dragonfly reimagines tremolo as a responsive modulation tool rather than a static effect. The plugin generates tremolo rates by tracking incoming pitch data, whether from the audio signal itself, a sidechain input, or MIDI notes. This pitch-to-tremolo conversion creates naturally evolving modulation that follows melodic or harmonic content, delivering the characteristic vocal-bass interaction heard in contemporary production.

The technical architecture offers four triggering modes. Manual mode provides traditional fixed-rate tremolo control. Self mode analyzes the input signal's fundamental frequency to derive tremolo rate and amplitude. Sidechain mode applies the same principle to an external source, useful for ducking synths against kick drums or creating interdependent modulation between tracks. MIDI mode locks tremolo rate to incoming note pitch, with amplitude responding to velocity, enabling rhythmically precise articulation.

Beyond basic controls, Dragonfly includes sophisticated refinement tools. The Fine parameter allows semitone-level pitch offset adjustments. Factor applies multipliers or divisors to detected frequencies. Attack and Release shape the tremolo envelope's transient behavior. A Smoothness parameter prevents jittery tracking artifacts. The Wild mode applies subtle harmonic saturation via waveshaping. Stereo controls manage left-right imaging of the effect.
