About this plugin
Black Rooster Audio's ALL Bundle delivers a comprehensive mixing toolkit built on the developer's signature strength: meticulous circuit modeling. Each plugin employs real-time SPICE-based simulation to replicate the electrical behavior of classic studio hardware, capturing not just the sonic signature but the subtle harmonic character of transformer-coupled audio paths, tube stages, and passive filtering.
The bundle's centerpiece, the BlackAsh SC-5, provides VCA compression modeled after a sought-after 80s standard. It excels across diverse applications - from transparent bus glue to aggressive drum processing - with a darker harmonic profile and external sidechain capability that distinguish it from its BlueAsh counterpart. This versatility makes it particularly valuable for mixing scenarios where a single compressor must handle multiple sources and contexts.

The technical implementation reflects pragmatic engineering choices. Auto-adjusted oversampling employs a linear phase Dolph-Chebyshev design to eliminate aliasing artifacts while minimizing CPU overhead relative to session sample rate. SSE2 optimization ensures complex computations remain responsive, while HighDPI support accommodates modern display standards without sacrificing visual clarity.
The ALL Bundle appeals most to experienced engineers who value accuracy and sonic transparency alongside practical workflow efficiency. Rather than marketing nostalgia, Black Rooster emphasizes that their emulations function as modern tools - authentic in character but designed specifically for digital environments. For mixing professionals seeking high-quality classic equipment sounds without the limitations of hardware ownership, this bundle represents a genuinely competent alternative, distinguished by rigorous modeling methodology and CPU-conscious design.
