The collection centers on a Gretsch USA Custom kit paired with period-appropriate Sabian and Zildjian cymbals, recorded with meticulous attention to both mic placement and room treatment. The engineering approach emphasizes controlled ambience rather than aggressive processing: ribbon microphones capture warm room reflections while character channels introduce saturated vintage tones, custom plate reverb, and notably, a trash can microphone for deliberate lo-fi coloration.

The expansion provides six distinct kit variations derived from stick and brush configurations, each presented in three iterations: unprocessed, lightly colored, and heavily processed versions. Snares received minimal dampening with paper and tea towels, allowing natural resonance while maintaining control.
