About this plugin
Transit 2 is Baby Audio's evolution of their motion-effects plugin, developed in collaboration with producer Andrew Huang. The core concept remains unchanged: it consolidates transition design and mix animation into a single, automatable interface. Rather than stacking multiple effect chains with dozens of automation lanes, Transit 2 centralizes control through six motion modes that govern 28 effect modules across modulation, distortion, filtering, and spatial processing.
The Macro mode functions as the plugin's primary workflow tool, allowing a single knob to orchestrate complex parameter sweeps across the entire effect chain. Additional modes introduce rhythmic, LFO-based, and envelope-triggered modulation patterns, making Transit 2 equally effective for both dramatic song section transitions and ongoing mix animation. The randomization engine provides genuine creative utility; it accepts user-defined ranges and parameter locking, avoiding the typical all-or-nothing approach of lesser tools.

Transit 2 suits producers and mix engineers seeking to inject movement into static arrangements without committing to granular automation editing. Sound designers will appreciate the flexibility and depth available beneath the preset surface. The 400+ presets, curated by Huang and recognized sound designers, establish useful starting points across electronic, hip-hop, and pop production contexts.
Where Transit 2 distinguishes itself is in execution simplicity paired with sonic depth. The effect quality remains professional grade, and the motion algorithms avoid the typical artificiality that plagues less refined transition plugins. It occupies a practical middle ground between intuitive workflow and genuine creative possibility, making it a legitimate utility for contemporary mix production rather than merely a specialty tool.
