About this plugin
Ayame 2 is a Japanese vocal synthesizer engine for Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro that delivers competent melodic articulation across a moderate pitch range. The voice excels in executing smooth register transitions between chest and head voice, a characteristic particularly useful for material demanding frequent modal shifts without obvious breaks. The four included vocal modes - Soft, Mellow, Sweet, and Powerful - provide genuine tonal variation sufficient for repositioning within a mix or adapting to different arrangement contexts, though the differences remain incremental rather than transformative.
Sonically, Ayame 2 occupies a warm midrange with a controlled presence peak, making her suitable for pop-oriented material and anime-influenced compositions where a pleasant, non-fatiguing vocal timbre is preferred. The whispered low register adds textural options for intimate passages, though the engine handles extreme ranges less convincingly than some competing synthesizers at this tier.

The multilingual support spanning Japanese, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, and Korean represents practical utility for producers working across regional markets. Japanese phoneme handling is native-level accurate, while cross-lingual synthesis quality depends heavily on the user's editing acumen.
Best suited for electronic music producers, vocaloid enthusiasts, and composers of anime soundtracks or J-pop arrangements, Ayame 2 functions as a reliable workhorse rather than a specialized instrument. It requires minimal parameter tweaking to achieve presentable results, making it accessible to less experienced users. For demanding applications requiring extreme naturalism or unusual vocal textures, more specialized engines warrant consideration.
