The core function is straightforward: two independent shaping stages can be combined and modulated, allowing producers to sculpt anything from transparent saturation to aggressive harmonic saturation. The plugin's real strength lies in its approach to symmetrical versus asymmetrical waveshaping, a distinction that fundamentally changes harmonic content. In asymmetrical mode, separate functions process positive and negative signal halves, generating even harmonics characteristic of transformer or diode-based saturation. Symmetrical mode applies functions to the entire waveform, producing odd harmonics typical of tube circuits.
