1A Equalizer

Audified's 1A Equalizer is a tube-modeled parametric EQ inspired by the classic Pultec design that dominated mixing consoles throughout the latter half of the twentieth century. Rather than pursuing archaeological accuracy, Audified has modernized the architecture with contemporary tools while preserving the sonic signature that made the original indispensable in professional studios.

The plugin's core strength lies in its saturation character. The tube modeling is neither subtle nor apologetic, introducing harmonic coloration that tracks respond to distinctly. A THD meter allows precise monitoring of distortion levels, enabling confident decisions about how much tonal sweetening to apply. The low and high frequency sections operate on the classic boost-and-attenuate principle, where you can simultaneously lift and cut adjacent frequencies for surgical yet musical results.
