About this plugin
Inner Pitch from Auburn Sounds is a pitch-shifting plugin that prioritizes sonic transparency while offering substantial creative range. The core algorithm handles pitch transposition across a 4-octave span ( -2 to +2 octaves) with minimal artifacts, maintaining the harmonic integrity of source material even under extreme shifts. This fidelity stems from a design philosophy centered on preservation rather than processing - destruction remains available when intentional, not imposed by computational limitation.
The plugin's formant-shifting capability decouples pitch from timbre, allowing independent control over spectral character. This proves particularly valuable for vocal processing where you can shift pitch without the unnatural thinning or thickening that accompanies standard pitch-shifting. The Dry/Wet control provides surgical blending rather than forcing a binary choice between original and processed signals.

Stereoization via L/R pitch differentiation creates width and movement, while the bass and treble reinforcement options address frequency balance without requiring additional EQ. The "double a track" functionality simplifies layering workflows, and the Shepard tone-like ascending or descending infinite pitch effects open genuine creative territory without gimmicky presentation.
Inner Pitch occupies a practical middle ground between transparent utility tools and specialized sound design instruments. It competes favorably with established alternatives through clean algorithms and thoughtful feature implementation. Best suited for engineers handling vocal production, orchestral arrangement, and precise harmonic manipulation, it equally serves producers exploring textural experimentation. The interface respects both clinical precision and spontaneous exploration, making it genuinely useful across sessions rather than niche-dependent.
