About this plugin
Graillon 3 is a comprehensive pitch manipulation plugin that distinguishes itself through its combination of core pitch tools with creative modulation capabilities. At its foundation, the plugin houses three primary processing engines: a pitch correction module designed to emulate the characteristic artifacts of classic Auto-Tune-style processing, a pitch shifter optimized for vocal material, and Auburn Sounds' signature Pitch-Tracking Modulation (PTM) system that generates speaker modeling, vocal textures, and harmonic enrichment by tracking the input's fundamental frequency.
The pitch correction section delivers the transparent-to-aggressive robotic artifacts that define modern vocal production, while the pitch shifter handles clean transposition without the flanging or degradation common to lower-quality implementations. The PTM system is where Graillon distinguishes itself sonically, enabling unconventional effects like octave generation, chorus layering, and masculine vocal thickening that would otherwise require multiple plugins or complex routing.

Supporting these core modules are a compressor, noise gate, doubler, and chorus, though these represent conventional processing rather than the plugin's primary value proposition. A bitcrusher adds optional harmonic coloration for those seeking deliberately degraded character.
Graillon 3 appeals primarily to producers and engineers working with vocal-centric material who want immediate access to both surgical pitch correction and creative pitch-based sound design within a single interface. Its PTM system makes it particularly valuable for electronic music, pop production, and any context where intentional pitch artifacts serve the artistic vision. Among comparable tools, Graillon occupies a middle ground between dedicated pitch correction and experimental effects processors, making it a versatile choice for studios that prioritize both precision and creative possibility.
