About this plugin
Applied Acoustics Systems' Modeling Collection represents a comprehensive upgrade path for producers already invested in their Session Series instruments. This bundle consolidates seven distinct physical modeling tools into a single, cohesive ecosystem: Chromaphone 3 for resonant percussion modeling, Lounge Lizard EP-4 for electric piano synthesis, String Studio VS-3 for plucked and bowed string instruments, Strum GS-2 for guitar emulation, Ultra Analog VA-3 for subtractive synthesis, Objeq Delay for spatial processing, and the newly introduced Multiphonics CV-1 modular synthesizer.
The collection's strength lies in its physical modeling foundation, which produces instruments with genuine responsiveness to playing dynamics rather than relying on sample switching or static parameters. This approach yields notably reduced CPU overhead compared to sample-based alternatives, with presets loading virtually instantaneously. The included preset library exceeds 1800 sounds spanning keyboards, strings, basses, synths, and experimental textures, providing functional starting points for most production scenarios.

Multiphonics CV-1 stands as the standout addition, offering a modular synthesis environment that bridges the gap between accessible interface design and serious sound design capabilities. The module library balances foundational components with sophisticated originals, making it equally useful for synthesis education and professional sound creation.
This upgrade makes practical sense for Session Series owners seeking deeper instrument variety without purchasing full licenses independently. The bundle's value proposition is strongest for producers working across multiple instrumental timbres who prioritize low latency and efficient workflow alongside sonic quality.
