The BAE-1084 is a parametric channel strip EQ that translates the sonic character of its namesake vintage console unit into the digital domain with remarkable fidelity. Built on meticulous analysis of the original hardware's Carnhill transformer topology and component behavior, this plugin delivers the warm, present character that made the 1084 a studio standard for decades.

The EQ architecture centers on a flexible mid-band with six selectable frequencies spanning 350Hz to 7.2kHz, complemented by shelving high-frequency control at 10kHz, 12kHz, or 16kHz. A dedicated Hi-Q button narrows the mid-band for surgical interventions when needed. High-pass and low-pass filters provide additional tonal shaping, with the HPF offering four settings from 45Hz to 360Hz and the LPF spanning 6kHz to 18kHz.
