About this plugin
Structure 2 stands as AIR Music Technology's comprehensive sampler and sound design platform, addressing a specific need in modern production workflows. Rather than functioning as a traditional effects plugin, Structure operates as a deep multi-timbral instrument that consolidates sampling, editing, and sound manipulation within a single environment.
The core appeal lies in its architecture: users can construct elaborate patches by layering up to eight channels of interleaved samples alongside synthesis elements, effects chains, and MIDI processing. The 37GB sample library provides legitimate breadth across orchestral, percussion, keyboard, and textural categories, though serious producers will appreciate its compatibility with third-party libraries from Kontakt, EXS24, and SampleCell formats.

Structure's sonic character reflects its design philosophy of transparency married with deep editability. The sample editor operates with surgical precision, supporting 24-bit / 192kHz material and accommodating 7.1 surround formats. REX file support ensures tempo-locked rhythmic elements integrate seamlessly into any project. Per-zone editing allows granular control over discrete sample regions, enabling sound design approaches that extend well beyond simple sample playback.
The tool works best for producers and composers requiring flexible sample manipulation within their DAW without jumping between applications. Sound designers benefit from its architectural flexibility, while orchestral and hybrid music creators appreciate the dedicated orchestral elements sourced from AIR's own sessions. It occupies middle ground between entry-level samplers and maximal all-in-one platforms, requiring engagement from users but rewarding that investment with legitimate creative scope and technical capability.
