About this plugin
AIR Music Technology's Fabric Vintage Synths Vol. 1 packages three hardware-inspired synthesizers into a single plugin, each modeled after foundational polysynth designs from the 1970s and 1980s. Rather than circuit-level emulation, these instruments leverage AIR's Fabric engine - a multi-sample synthesis architecture that captures harmonic character across the keyboard range and velocity spectrum. This approach prioritizes sonic authenticity over CPU overhead, making the collection practical for dense arrangements.
Fabric Vintage Pro channels the warmth and punch of a 1970s programmable polysynth, excelling at authoritative basses and expressive pads. Fabric Vintage Jup delivers the characteristically wide, lush response of 1980s hardware, retaining clarity across unison leads and shimmering textures. Fabric Vintage Memorymoog rounds out the collection with harmonically dense, massive character suited to pad work and bass foundations.

Each instrument includes modern conveniences - expanded modulation capabilities, layering options, and integrated effects - that distinguish them from straight hardware emulations. The architecture supports substantial polyphony without the performance constraints of the originals, useful for both compositional flexibility and live performance scenarios.
This collection serves producers working across electronic, pop, and cinematic production who prioritize quick sonic gratification over deep parameter editing. Rather than competing with algorithmic synthesis tools or deep-dive emulations, Fabric Vintage Synths targets the middle ground: authentic vintage character with contemporary workflow integration. It's particularly valuable for MPC users seeking piano-roll-friendly synth layers and DAW-based producers who need reliable, musically accomplished vintage tones without deep synthesis knowledge.
