Acon Digital's Drum Production Suite combines two specialized processors designed to address complementary challenges in drum production: stem separation and microphone isolation. Remix:Drums performs real-time drum source separation, using neural networks trained to isolate individual drum elements - kick, snare, hi-hat, cymbals, and toms - from mixed recordings or loops. The implementation handles this decomposition during playback without requiring offline bouncing, which streamlines workflow significantly. Sensitivity controls allow users to fine-tune separation aggressiveness, and multi-output routing in compatible DAWs enables independent stem mixing.

DeBleed:Drums targets a different problem endemic to close-miked drum recordings: unwanted spill from adjacent microphones. Rather than attempting broad source separation, it uses trigger-based detection to identify and suppress bleed signals, applying processing selectively to transient events rather than across entire tracks. This surgical approach preserves natural room tone and interaction between mics while reducing crosstalk that typically muddies individual tracks.

The suite's AI-driven approach represents a meaningful advancement in automated drum processing. Unlike earlier phase-cancellation or EQ-based bleed removal techniques, machine learning enables more intelligent differentiation between desired signals and unwanted spill.
