About this plugin
Audio Blast's 100% Acid Vol.1 delivers a focused toolkit for producers committed to authentic acid synthesis. The plugin centers on the characteristic sound design of classic acid house, built around subtractive synthesis principles that emphasize resonant low-pass filtering and envelope modulation. Rather than attempting broad synthesis capabilities, the architecture prioritizes the specific tonal properties that defined the genre - aggressive filter sweeps, punchy envelope response, and the particular harmonic coloration associated with analog ladder filters.
The preset bank of 128 sounds spans usable territory across bass and lead applications, with particular strength in producing the squelchy, hypnotic textures that define acid techno and psytrance. The presets avoid the trap of excessive character, instead offering solid starting points for producers who understand synthesis fundamentals and want to iterate from a known sonic foundation.

Technically, the plugin operates within the Ableton Instrument Rack framework, making it dependent on the Live environment rather than functioning as a standalone instrument. This design choice limits portability but allows deep integration with Live's workflow.
100% Acid Vol.1 works best for producers already conversant with acid house production who value authenticity over versatility. It's neither a comprehensive synth nor a creative soundscape generator. Instead, it functions as a concentrated sound library that honors the genre's established sonic grammar. The inclusion of 128 complementary 8-bar loops provides practical reference material and arrangement inspiration, though experienced producers will extract maximum value from the presets themselves.
