About this plugin
Brauer Motion reimagines stereo movement beyond traditional left-right panning by introducing spherical motion across the stereo field. Developed in collaboration with Grammy-winning engineer Michael Brauer, the plugin employs two independent, linkable auto-panners, each offering four distinct motion paths that allow sounds to move horizontally, vertically, and with depth perception within a mix. This approach enables everything from subtle psychoacoustic effects on reverb tails and pad layers to pronounced spatial movement that genuinely energizes a mix.
The plugin's technical foundation includes five triggering modes, tempo synchronization, and flexible modulation controls, making it adaptable to both rhythmic and freely-moving applications. Users can position elements forward or backward in the stereo field - a particularly useful feature for managing vocal layering or preventing rhythm elements from feeling static while maintaining their frequency focus.

Brauer Motion serves producers and engineers seeking creative spatial effects without the limitations of conventional panning tools. It excels at adding dimension to orchestral arrangements, creating movement in synthesizer pads, and managing the spatial hierarchy of vocal stacks. The plugin's characteristic approach - informed by Brauer's acclaimed work on records for Coldplay, Florence and the Machine, and John Mayer - prioritizes musicality over pure technical novelty.
Among available spatial effect plugins, Brauer Motion occupies a distinct category between standard autopanning and full spatial modulation systems. Its strength lies in providing intuitive access to complex motion without requiring extensive parameter manipulation, making it valuable for both detailed mixing work and rapid creative experimentation. The spherical movement approach genuinely differentiates it from existing tools in most professional plugin collections.
