EDDA is a sample-based instrument library capturing Nordic tagelharpa and shamanic percussion with meticulous attention to organic articulation and tonal character. Rather than relying on convolution or synthesis, Wavelet Audio sampled every playable note and transition across their instruments, including dissonant combinations, enabling authentic melodic and harmonic expression without quantized phrase dependencies.

The tagelharpa implementation distinguishes itself through dual microphone configurations on the larger variant, with independent controls for melodic and burdon strings. The burdon channel can be pitch-shifted downward, creating a flexible foundation layer that extends the instrument's harmonic range beyond traditional performance limitations. This dual-channel approach grants mixing flexibility comparable to multi-miked acoustic recordings, allowing engineers to balance proximity, room ambience, and tonal color to suit individual mixes.

EDDA's sequencer engine offers genuine utility through pattern-based arrangement and MIDI integration with drag-and-drop compatibility. Four legato modes - including rebow legato and portamento - handle note transitions with context-aware timing, while the Instant Legato feature eliminates rhythmic latency when switching between melodic lines.

The microphone suite provides essential sound design controls: independent fader mixing, panning, and stereo imaging across capture positions. This granular approach to mic management distinguishes EDDA from instruments offering fixed signal paths.
