About this plugin
London Orchestral Percussion stands as a meticulously sampled percussion library designed for composers and sound designers working across film, television, and interactive media. The collection captures orchestral and accessory percussion instruments recorded in a natural hall environment, achieving a moderate room signature that balances ambient character with dry enough behavior to integrate smoothly into mixed compositions.
The library encompasses the full spectrum of orchestral percussion: bass drums, timpani, toms, and snares deliver low-end weight, while cymbals and gongs provide textural complexity and shimmer. Chromatic instruments and specialized accessories round out the palette, offering comprehensive coverage for classical and contemporary scoring applications. The sample set has been expanded and refined for current workflows, indicating substantial attention to articulation variety and articulation depth.

The plugin's interface has been redesigned for intuitive navigation and includes Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol Support for streamlined hardware integration. A built-in sequencer enables rhythmic pattern construction, while dedicated tools address specific performance needs: a cymbal swell creator generates realistic crescendos, and an arpeggiator brings chromatic instruments into melodic contexts. The crush control adds harmonic saturation and perceived impact without requiring external processing.
This tool functions best for composers requiring orchestral percussion textures without the complexity of multi-layered sample management. The moderate room signature positions it well for classical and cinematic contexts, though its flexibility extends toward hybrid scoring. For experienced producers accustomed to professional sample libraries, London Orchestral Percussion represents a comprehensive, workflow-conscious approach to percussion sampling that prioritizes usability alongside sonic authenticity.
