Vir2 recorded 13 distinct instruments spanning trumpets, trombones, saxophones, and French horns, each captured with meticulous attention to real-world playing characteristics. The architecture supports 13 articulations including sustains, staccatos, stabs, and expressive techniques like doits and shakes, paired with up to four velocity layers and three round-robin variations per articulation to minimize repetition artifacts.

The legato implementation represents the plugin's technical centerpiece. Rather than simple crossfading, Vir2 recorded actual transition samples between pitch changes, enabling genuinely musical legato phrasing that captures the portamento characteristics of real brass playing. Version 2.0 expanded the toolkit significantly, introducing simulated muted articulations and refining vibrato modeling alongside comprehensive sample remixing.

The interface prioritizes workflow efficiency without oversimplifying control. Users can layer multiple instruments into cohesive ensemble sounds or work with individual voices, adjusting dynamics, timing, and articulation selection intuitively.
