About this plugin
The UAD Synth Collection consolidates four distinct synthesis architectures into a single bundle: the Minimoog Model D, PolyMAX, Anthem, and Opal. This approach acknowledges that modern production rarely benefits from a single sonic toolkit, instead requiring flexibility across monophonic analog character, polyphonic warmth, contemporary modulation, and hybrid synthesis approaches.
The Minimoog component provides the historical benchmark - three oscillators with genuine subtractive architecture that defined analog synthesis for five decades. PolyMAX extends this lineage into polyphonic territory with warm, modeled oscillators and filters suited to pad work and textural support. Anthem introduces more aggressive sonic territory through its crunchy filter character and step sequencing, positioning itself for bass and lead work. Opal represents the collection's contemporary bridge, pairing analog-modeled cores with morphing filters and wavetable elements, allowing designers to move between traditional subtractive synthesis and modern modulation techniques.

The included UA effects processing elevates these instruments beyond raw synthesis - lo-fi degradation, professional-grade reverb, and compression tools integrate directly into each synth's signal chain. This integration matters practically; producers can finalize tones within the plugin rather than relying on external processing for polish.
For experienced engineers and producers, the collection addresses a legitimate production need: the Minimoog alone covers iconic monophonic territory, while the other three instruments distribute complementary strengths across polyphonic, bass, and hybrid synthesis roles. Rather than marketing obsolescence, this bundle acknowledges that synthesizer choice remains contextual, and maintaining four distinct tools represents efficient workflow architecture for contemporary production demands.
